On January 8, Mohit Madan OroPocket’s CEO was invited by Nithya from Unos Finance to participate in a live AMA session on the MoonHunter’ Telegram channel (https://t.me/moonhunter) on January 8, 2020. As AMA’s focus was related to the Unos platform, here is a transcript related only to the participation of OroPocket and its cooperation with Unos Finance.
MoonHunter: Hey guys, can you intro yourself quickly?
Mohit Madan: Hey everyone, I’m Mohit Madan, CEO and co-founder from @oropocket. We’re tokenizing real world assets like Gold, Silver, Stocks, ETFs, Real Estate etc, and enabling devs to build financial services on it. We have recently partnered with Unos Finance.
Unos Finance: Hi , I’m Mrs.Nithya from unos.finance, glad that I’m here tonight for an amazing session of AMA :). Unos finance is focused on building decentralised dapps that facilitates farming, staking, lending and borrowing along with a dex and launchpad 😃
Mohit Madan: Unos is revolutioning the DeFi space with their unique offerings(don’t forget to checkour Unoswap Launchpad).
MoonHunter: Okay brilliant, can each of your introduce your projects, what your project does and lastly can both of you speak about how you are working together.
Unos Finance: We at Unos Finance have been signing partnerships with various high potential projects ,one such is with oropocket’s opendefi. Where we accept oro as collateral and vices versa in their platform too. Soon we will be launching a farming pool where users will be allowed to farm unos/oro pair and earn a goid yeild .😃
Mohit Madan: OroPocket is on a mission to bridge the gap between traditional finance and DeFi. By bringing more assets to the DeFi space, we intend to enable institutional investors and large funds become a part of the ecosystem. Our partnership will Unos will enable us to strengthen our DeFi offering like lending and staking.
MoonHunter: Brilliant thank you guys. I see OroPocket is partnered with REEF, that is HUGE. Is there a chance that can also benefit Unos?
Mohit Madan: Yep, we recently closed some great partnerships — Chainlink, Elrond, Reef and now Unos. 😃 Yep, the idea is in the long term to go for deeper engagement as more and more asset backed tokens are released by OroPocket.
MoonHunter: Brilliant.
Unos Finance: As I said earlier unos has already been in talks with few other high potential projects too, the news will roll out too quick, the intention is to create an easy access to high-end defi to every citizen.
Mohit Madan: Enabling users to earn yield without any market exposure. Imagine holding Tesla stocks on blockchain and being able to earn a rental/yield on it, without any risk of market exposure, or liquidation. That’s what the future of this partnership would enable. 🙌
MoonHunter: To give everyone a little intro myself, @nithyaunos actually contacted me months ago, when Unos was first starting out to get my help- I refused initially as I was busy and I also was unsure about the project and the safety. Fastforward to now, its clear to see @nithyaunos is a genuine dev and ceo whos working to build something good for the community, and im glad to see its still running unlike allot of projects which released at the same time.
Unos Finance: Haha. Yeah, I’m honoured thanks a lot for this compliment and recognition. As you know Mr.Sathvik vishwanath CEO of unocoin and also the one who made crypto legal in India by fighting a Case against RBI in India is our Advisor. His advice and expertise on the startegy willl set directions for unos.
MoonHunter: I think its clear that its very much a gem in the mud, keep on building and dont worry too much about price would be my suggestion. Lets speak a bit more about unos. A common issue with farming projects is an eventual death spiral due to high APY. How do you aim to tackle this?
Unos Finance: The model of concept which unos have come up for farming is something very unique , and I bet only very few defi have come up with such model. To elaborate..
MoonHunter: tell us about it.
Unos Finance: Farming 1 : Where the protocol allows users to 55unos as daily rewards per annum which will be equally distributed among the farmers who had farmed their Lps with unos farm 1 based on their pool share , which is calculated decentralised ly and distributed everyday with a lockin period of 30days initially. Farm 2 : This is really unique and something which interests many people out there in defi space, that’s is if people farm in they 5% of their lps to existing farmers which will be distributed based on their % of pool share. And when they exit 10% of the lps will be given as rewards to farmers who stay in the pool , same based on their pool share. In this case it’s a SUSTAINED MODEL. So as long as people come in and go out the pool everyone earns.
